The New York Nine's belief
that "professional level attitudes produce professional level people"
begins in the classroom. The goal of the New York Nine is to turn our student
athletes into productive family men, motivated employees and first-rate
citizens, with a solid educational base. The Nine stands behind core academic
eligibility, and the importance of graduating with grades which make one
eligible for scholarship opportunities at the next level- academic, athletic or
both.
With this in mind, the New York Nine is proud to house our own Academic
Advisory Committee. The "committee" is comprised of members with deep
roots in the specific fields of education, social work and psychology- covering
all social classes and backgrounds that
our organization so gladly welcomes. Our
"in-house" educators and advisors are constantly working to develop and impliment systems which help our student athletes achieve academic success. Many
of our committee members have backgrounds in various sports, and feel that their
current success comes from the discipline learned through athletics.
The New York Nine gladly offers academic assistance, supplies and personnel to
help our athletes achieve their potential in the classroom.
